The other day I saw a post about Arby’s celebrating its 48th anniversary. As a special promotion, the fast food franchise decided to offer their classic roast beef sandwich for 64 cents with a coupon.
Leading up to its official anniversary, Facebook fan page viewers had to click on 1965 in the Timeline on the right to see the coupon celebrating the founding of Arby’s. I must admit, that was a pretty fun way to do it. However, perhaps to make it easier for the less Facebook-savvy customers, Arby’s posted the coupon on their wall day of, which generated over 3000 Shares and 3600 Likes.
I’d be curious to see how many Americans stopped in at their local Arby’s with the Facebook coupon.
Just one example of how companies are taking advantage of new Facebook functionalities.
